With the fast development on information and networks infrastructure, broadband applications such as high definition television (HDTV) and video on demand (VOD) are getting popular. Compared with other communication media, optical fiber obviously has superiority because of its high bandwidth and low data loss. Due to these advantageous features, fiber optic transmission systems rapidly developed and are gradually  replacing copper wire-based transmission systems.

LGCE provides turnkey solutions from supply, installation to maintenance of the FttH/FttX equipment and other networking products that are necessary to enable the FttH network.

 

During 2009 LGCE have supplied all materials for the Zeewolde FTTH project of Reggefiber. In close cooperation with A. Hak Telecom a FttH network has been installed comprising 7500 households. LGCE's role in this project included the delivery of the products, training of the civil installation teams, logistic planning as well as pre-assembly of the PoP's and installation of the PoP's.
