CABLE CLOSURES

LGCE provides two specific types of cable closures. Namely; Air Tight Cable closures (ATCC’s) and gel filled closures.

ATCC’s are capable for restoring the sheath properties, and for protecting the splices, fibers and cables from moisture in severe environmental conditions. Therefore ATCC’s are commonly applied in underground conditions.

Special features of the air tight cable closure are as follows:

• Non jelly filled type
• Perfectly water tight
• Compatible with all cables
• Easy handling
• Compatible with fusion splice and mechanical splice

The gel sealed drop repair closure is used as a repair splice for fiber and hybrid drop cables. Usage of this cable closure takes place underground, buried, aerial and in building environments.

Main features of this closure are as follows:

• Single ended or in-line design
• Compact enclosure
• Cable seal with gel plug
• Organizer can be removed from closure body
• Compatible with RECORD splice, SMOUV and ANT splice protectors
• Round cable 7-9 mm diameter
• Fiber bending radius of 20 mm
• Closure with over centering “ski boot” type of latches
• Integrated mounting brackets
