The flexible conduit is fitted with a twisted pair cable during the production process and is delivered pre-wired to the project site.
The pre-wired conduit is particularly suitable for use in residential construction projects. During the building process, the pre-wired flexible conduit is cast in along the designated route and fed through to the outlet. With conventional installation methods, an empty 16 mm conduit system is usually installed on the construction site, into which the data cabling then has to be pulled, a time-consuming process.
The advantage of using pre-wired duct is that pulling the data cabling through a 16 mm duct no longer has to take place on site, allowing considerable savings in installation hours while preventing damage to the data cable. When the 4-pair HCS assembly tool is used as well, the installer can complete the connections very quickly and easily. With the 4-pair HCS tool it is possible to punch down and cut the 8 conductors of a twisted pair data cable into the IDC contact simultaneously, a fast and reliable way of terminating the keystones.
LGCE has also added a pre-wired flexible conduit with a diameter of 25 mm to its portfolio, containing 2x a twisted pair data cable, particularly suitable where double outlets are used. Pre-wired flexible conduit is available in various categories, from Cat5e up to and including Cat8 data cabling, in both shielded and unshielded versions. The desired CPR classification can also be supplied pre-wired, ranging from CPR Eca to B2ca-s1,d1,a1. The pre-wired conduit is supplied on rolls of 100 m. When installed and certified by one of our HCS installers, the HCS LifeTime warranty applies. The warranty thereby covers the components, the system performance and the application.
One of our product specialists will be happy to explain the possibilities of using pre-wired conduit. We look forward to receiving your enquiry.
