Low-voltage cables
LV power and installation cables for distribution, industry, data centres and battery storage: copper and aluminium, in a wide range of constructions.
From low-voltage distribution cables to (ultra) high-voltage and submarine systems up to 525 kV, LGCE supplies the full power portfolio, on- and offshore, AC and DC. For high-voltage and submarine systems we are the Dutch representative of LS Cable & System.
Our portfolio runs from low-voltage distribution and installation cables to medium- and (ultra) high-voltage systems at the highest voltage levels, together with the corresponding joints and end closures, so we can deliver your entire connection. At very high voltages, assembly, installation and testing are handled by LS Cable to guarantee the full power system. As one of the world's largest cable manufacturers, LS Cable & System brings world-class technology in underground (ultra) high-voltage, submarine and superconducting cables.

LGCE supplies the full power cable portfolio: low-voltage (LV) distribution and installation cables, medium-voltage (MV) systems, and (ultra) high-voltage (HV) systems up to 525 kV. For high-voltage and submarine systems LGCE is the Dutch representative of LS Cable & System.
Broadly: low voltage (LV) covers distribution and installation cables up to about 1 kV; medium voltage (MV) runs from roughly 1 kV to 52 kV for local and regional distribution; and high voltage (HV) covers transmission above 52 kV, up to 525 kV for the largest on- and offshore connections. Insulation, construction and testing requirements rise with the voltage class.
The right cable depends on the voltage level, the power or current to be transmitted, the installation method (buried, in duct, in air or submarine), the route length and the environment. Share these details with our specialists and we help you specify the conductor, cross-section, insulation and accessories that fit your project.
Aluminium conductors are lighter and more cost-effective and are often chosen for larger cross-sections and longer distribution runs, while copper offers higher conductivity in a smaller cross-section and is preferred where space is limited or currents are high. The best choice depends on the load, route and installation conditions. Our specialists are happy to advise.
To quote accurately we typically need the voltage level, the required power or current, the conductor material and cross-section (if known), the cable length and quantity, the installation method, and any accessories or services required. The more detail you can share, the faster and more precise our offer.
Yes. Alongside the cable itself LGCE supplies the matching joints, terminations and end closures for both GIS installations and outdoor terminations, so you receive a complete, compatible cable system from a single source.
Yes. Beyond materials LGCE offers installation of the joints and closures we supply, supervision of cable laying, and SAT (site acceptance) testing of installed systems. At very high voltages, assembly, installation and testing are performed by LS Cable to guarantee the complete power system.
Yes. LGCE supplies on- and offshore systems, including submarine and XLPE cables and GIS connections, and has contributed to major offshore export-cable projects in the North Sea such as Hollandse Kust Noord, Hollandse Kust West Alpha, Windpark Luchterduinen and Norther.
The power cable systems LGCE supplies are manufactured and type-tested by LS Cable to the relevant international standards for each voltage class (for example the applicable IEC and CENELEC/HD standards). The exact standards and type-test certificates depend on the product and voltage level and can be provided on request.
Lead times depend on the voltage class, the cable construction and current production and stock availability. Standard LV and MV items are generally available quickly, while high-voltage and submarine systems are project-specific and planned in advance. Send us your requirement and timeline and we confirm the current lead time.
LGCE is the Dutch representative of LS Cable & System, a global manufacturer of high- and ultra-high-voltage cable systems, giving customers direct access to certified, large-scale power infrastructure.
Beyond materials we offer installation work for the joints and closures we supply, supervision of cable laying, and SAT testing of installed cable systems, drawing on LS Cable's best-in-class technology for underground (ultra) high-voltage, submarine and superconducting cables.

Grid operators across Europe are reinforcing and expanding at a pace not seen in decades. LGCE supplies medium- and high-voltage cable systems from 10 kV up to 525 kV for substations, grid connections and interconnectors, sourced from world-class manufacturing partners such as LS Cable & System.
Every project is engineered as a package: cable, accessories, jointing and testing coordinated with your civil works planning. Talk to us early and the cable schedule stops being the critical path.

Battery energy storage sites combine DC container fields, MV collection circuits and a grid connection, often on a compressed schedule driven by grid-capacity windows. LGCE supplies the complete cable package for BESS projects, from inter-container cabling to the HV export circuit.
Because storage sites evolve fast, we quote modularly: expansion phases reuse the same cable types and accessories, keeping spares simple and approvals repeatable.

Offshore and onshore wind projects run on cable: inter-array circuits between turbines, export cables to shore and land routes to the substation. LGCE has supplied cable packages for North Sea wind farms including Luchterduinen, Norther and the Hollandse Kust connections.
Marine logistics, factory acceptance tests and jointing crews are coordinated in one project plan, so vessel time and installation windows are used to the fullest.

Utility-scale solar parks need kilometres of DC string cabling, MV collection circuits and a reliable grid connection, delivered to sites that are often remote and phased. LGCE supplies the full electrical balance-of-system cable scope with logistics planned around your construction sequence.
UV-stable constructions and correct dimensioning for soil thermal conditions protect yield over the park's 30-year life. We calculate that with you before ordering, not after commissioning.

Data centres are among the fastest-growing grid loads in Europe, and their power connections increasingly run at 110 kV and above. LGCE supplies HV grid-connection cable systems plus the MV distribution inside the campus, matched to redundancy concepts like 2N feeds.
Because we also supply the data cabling side, one partner understands both the megawatts and the fibre counts of your facility.

Industrial plants electrify processes, replace aging switchgear and add on-site generation, all of which starts with the right cable. LGCE supplies MV and HV cable systems for industrial grid connections, plant distribution and electrification projects, with accessories engineered as one system.
Shutdown windows are short, so deliveries are staged and labelled per switching section. Your electrical contractor pulls cable, not paperwork.

Infrastructure contractors carry the schedule risk of every energy project. LGCE takes the cable scope off that risk list: engineered packages, guaranteed slots at the factory, drum logistics to site and jointing accessories that arrive with the cable they belong to.
Our project team speaks both languages, procurement and site execution, and has done so on North Sea scale projects. Ask us for references before your next tender.
