It has become a yearly tradition. LGCE and some of her highly valued business partners take the risk of spending a day and night together on a boat with the dimensions of 16 by 5 meter.
This year we were sailing between Lemmer and Enkhuizen on the IJsselmeer.
The event is spread over 4 days and each day a separate group of customers is invited. The goal of this event is to meet and spend time together in a different atmosphere than we are used to on a daily basis.
Since most of the LGCE people have a connection with water, whether it is sailing, surfing, ice-skating, swimming or drinking something that includes water, we always try to combine the social part of being together with some hardcore sailing. This year we were helped out by a big amount of wind and some heavy rain showers which blew our Bavaria 51 over the IJsselmeer.
At the end of the week nobody has fallen off the boat, or has been keelhauled and the boat was still intact. On the contrary, we have seen a lot of smiling faces, heard lots of laughter and new connections have been made. Most of the people even dared to stay on board during the night. Except one fisherman . . .
